What can you find?
The Info Água portal is developed by APA - Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (Portuguese Environment Agency) to provide up-to-date and systematic information about water.
During the bathing season, find out everything you need to know about coastal, transitional and inland beaches, and throughout the year about droughts and floods.
You can set your favourite beaches and find out about water quality, awards, facilities and services, as well as being notified of the latest bathing water quality analyses. This information is complemented by daily weather forecast data provided by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere, as well as tide information provided by the Hydrographic Institute
For more detailed information about the beaches, please go to National Hydric Resources Information System (SNIRH).
You can consult the weekly storage levels in reservoirs and the monthly drought levels in river basins, as well as the main measures to be taken.
Whenever there are floods, you can access to the alert situations, as well as a summary of the main events that have occurred in the past.
Privacy Policy
The APA, as the entity responsible for the Info Água portal, takes its users' right to privacy seriously, making the portal available under a commitment to ensure not only the quality of the service, but also that browsing is carried out safely and with absolute respect for the protection of its users' privacy.
The portal is a tool for providing up-to-date information on beaches and bathing water quality, as well as flood and drought situations, and can be visited and used free of charge without the user having to reveal any personal information, requiring only the use of mobile network or Wi-Fi services.
By authorising the use of the device's location, the user can benefit from the service that allows them to identify the beaches or river basins that are close to them and thus have quick and up-to-date information on those beaches or river basins.
Users can define their favourite beaches, reservoirs and/or stations in the beaches, dry and flood tabs respectively, and the device's storage is used to preserve the list of favourites.
This ensures that this is the only information collected by the portal, which is stored on the user's own device. APA will not use the data collected by the portal, nor will it collect any personal information from the user at any time.
